CMConnect Team at the Children’s Ministry Conference

As our ministry continues to grow, we are looking for leaders to join our team!

Do you have a high sense of calling to serve under-resourced churches? Do you desire to see local church leaders becoming more successful in impacting the children in their community? Do you desire to use your talents to make an impact in international ministry?

Openings

Operations Director oversees logistics, events, accounting and bookkeeping roles. The role of the Operations Team is to ensure our ministry is successful in preparing for upcoming programs and events. The leader of this team will develop a group of volunteers who are passionate about getting details done and check-lists accomplished.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Recruit and train volunteer teams to assist in logistics, planning and event management.
  • Plan and lead annual fund raising and training events.
  • Reports to the Executive Director.
  • Keep regular office hours at our office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements:

  • Funding – This is a self-funded role and, therefore, a strong calling to serve and live on mission are critically important. You will be required to raise support for yourself and for the ministries within your area of oversight. We are flexible and understand raising support can take time; therefore, this position may work part-time and/or remotely until proper support has been raised.
  • Calling – We are, without apology, a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry. Your calling should include a desire to see the work of the church grow beyond it’s current capacity, the spiritual development of children in under-resourced regions of the world to be advanced, and the leadership of indigenous people being enhanced to serve their local communities fulfilled.
  • Travel – Some domestic and international travel is required for this role. It may vary from time to time, depending on the current needs. Applicants should possess, or be in the process of acquiring, a valid passport.
  • Experience – We exist to serve those called to serve children; therefore, applicants with experience in children’s ministry, family ministry, social work or education roles will be given special consideration. Volunteer and paid roles will both be taken into consideration for determining relevant experience. Specific to this role, the applicant should have noteworthy experience in a role related to accounting, bookkeeping, event planning, administration, or management.
  • Flexibility, family and fun – As is true of any ministry, it is required to be a flexible person who is not going to be hindered by change or setbacks. Ministry is very hard work and it can be frustrating. We stick together as a family. We look out for one another. We are here to serve and encourage one another. We bear one another’s burdens. We are committed to having fun while doing good and serving the Lord. All team members have to be committed to staying flexible and to having fun as a member of our family.

Preferences (not-required):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Quickbooks online, Google docs and spreadsheets.
  • International travel experience and foreign language proficiency are given special consideration but are not required.

Communications Director develops and oversees a cross-functional and adaptive team of volunteers for managing all aspects of ministry communication. This includes social media, print, video and audio formats across multiple brands. The Communications Team, as led by the Director, will develop a passion for storytelling and creativity and serve as a public interaction point for advocacy and development at CMConnect.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain social media groups and accounts across various platforms.
  • Recruit and train volunteer teams to further the work of the local church and to further ministry initiatives.
  • Create and lead teams and networks across multiple online platforms.
  • Reports to the Executive Director.
  • Keep regular office hours at our office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements:

  • Funding – This is a self-funded role and, therefore, a strong calling to serve and live on mission are critically important. You will be required to raise support for yourself and for the ministries within your area of oversight.   • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Constant Contact and WordPress platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and edit digital art for various online and print media.
  • Proficiency with managing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other leading social media sites.
  • International travel experience and foreign language proficiency are given special consideration but are not required.

Program Directors oversee a specific geographic region and work to advocate for the local leaders there. They manage projects to serve indigenous leaders which may include: training, resourcing, funding sustainability or capacity-building.

We have several openings for Program Directors to oversee our ministry network in over 90 different countries. Your application should include your specific area of calling/interest.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous leaders within a specific region of oversight.
  • Recruit and train volunteer teams to further the work of the local church.
  • Create and lead projects for sustainability and/or capacity building.
  • Reports to the Executive Director.
  • Keep regular office hours at our office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements:

Interns serve in various roles depending, primarily, on the current needs of our team and ministry. When possible, we allow the intern to serve in an area and on a project based on their specific interests and talents. Our internships are flexible and can be adapted to from several months to a year long. Successful interns are often invited to become a part of our staff team in a role conducive with their calling and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve in various roles as appointed by the Director.
  • Develop funding for specific ministry needs and projects.
  • Keep regular, but very flexible, office hours at our office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements:

  • Funding – This is a self-funded role and, therefore, a strong calling to serve and live on mission are critically important. You will be required to raise support for yourself and for the ministries within your area of oversight. We are flexible and understand raising support can be a challenge. Typically speaking, interns are required to work with us on location. Occasional exceptions can be made depending on the role and individual.
  • Calling – We are, without apology, a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry. Your calling should include a desire to see the work of the church grow beyond it’s current capacity, the spiritual development of children in under-resourced regions of the world to be advanced, and the leadership of indigenous people being enhanced to serve their local communities fulfilled.
  • Travel – Some domestic and international travel is required for this role. It may vary from time to time, depending on the current needs. Applicants should possess, or be in the process of acquiring, a valid passport.
  • Experience – We exist to serve those called to serve children; therefore, applicants with experience in children’s ministry, family ministry, social work or education roles will be given special consideration. College students pursuing a degree of study in any of these fields will also be more likely to be selected. The purpose of our internship program is to help build practical, multi-cultural and missional ministry experience. Our hope is it will be a platform to launch the accepted candidate(s) into a future of excellent ministry work.
