One of the great things we’ve learned from reviewing the world of children’s ministry blogs: VBS is still at thing. Now, to some of you, that might seem like a strange statement. Others of you are like, “Duh! … it’s still THE Thing!“
Whichever camp you fall into, it is undeniable the huge impact Vacation Bible School programs can have on your community. Through VBS, one can reach into the community, recapture time from families and inspire them with the hope of Jesus Christ. It’s an incredible outreach opportunity and a powerful way to build lifelong relationships.
However, many children’s ministry leaders struggle to pull off a successful VBS, year after year. We want to help you fix that!
Here are a couple of resources you need to check out:
The Best VBS blog – Jen has created a blog devoted to helping people go from zero to VBS. Her site is chock full of useful ideas, resources and tips. One of her recent posts features seven resources you must have. Hint, one of them is chocolate!
Shopping for VBS to Support Missions – We also want to thank Jen for taking the time to feature our ministry in her recent blog. She even went so far as to link the resources on her post to our Amazon Smile account. When you shop Amazon, our ministry can earn a donation of 0.5% of your purchase from Amazon Smile. So, if you shop Amazon, please start shopping via our page: CMConnect (Globalink Ministries) Amazon Smile Page or click on the box below.
KidMinCorrine blog – Corrine’s blog was featured in one of our recent blog reviews at Facebook LIVE. She has uploaded an entire FREE VBS program to her website. It’s complete with instructions and tons of pictures to inspire you!
So, checkout these blogs and let us know your thoughts… feel free to reply with any other websites we should be checking out for VBS. Together, we can build a great program for the families in our communities this summer!
